XHDD503E Cable Fault Locator

The cable fault location instrument locates the fault point based on the principle of vibration pickup and electromagnetic induction: the high-voltage pulse triggers the flashover of the fault point, and the vibration/sound wave/electromagnetic wave generated is picked up by a special probe, amplified and processed by the instrument, and displayed. The tester completes the precise positioning within the rough measurement range directly above the cable through audio-visual judgment. It is suitable for low-resistance, short-circuit, open-circuit and high-resistance leakage and high-resistance flashover faults of power cables, high-frequency coaxial cables, street light cables, and underground wires with different cross-sections/media. The technical parameters meet the anti-interference requirements of GB/T 18268.1 and the acoustic and magnetic location standard of DL/T 849.2-2019.
